Long Bay unfurls across a mile of stunning, sandy northwestern shoreline right at the far end of Tortola. While rougher and rockier than most beaches island wide, this is a breathtaking spot perfect for romantic strolls at sunset and a bit of body surfing. Most are drawn to the location for the recently renovated Long Bay Beach Resort. An iconic retreat since the 1960s, the resort offers luxurious yet laidback accommodation as well as fantastic dining. The resort’s 1748 Restaurant is located inside an 18th century rum distillery with the same natural stone, coral, and limestone walls it had centuries ago. The eatery is right on the beach and serves sumptuous Caribbean cuisine with ingredients sourced primarily from local fishermen and farmers. Sunday Brunch draws a hip local crowd who often gravitate from the al fresco dining deck to the chic beach bar for a game of giant Jenga and rosé all day.
