Amateras is a stunningly beautiful luxury 5,000 square-foot estate villa that offers an unparalleled view of Virgin Gorda and the surrounding islands.  Perched on 1.5 acres of the hilltop at Princess Quarters and set among the spectacular boulders found only in Virgin Gorda, it offers dramatic 360-degree views of both sunrise and sunset over the Atlantic Ocean and Sir Francis Drake Channel. Amateras provides its guests one of the most spectacular vacation settings. With three independently appointed pavilions, Amateras’ accommodations are ideal for up to 8 people. The villa includes two two-bedroom cabanas with air-conditioning, the main house, a covered gazebo, a pool, and a multitude of decks each with magnificent views. It boasts 2 Master units with King beds and two additional bedrooms with two twin beds which can easily be converted into king bedrooms.  Each “cabana pod boasts a pantry area with a small refrigerator and coffeemaker.

The main house at Amateras was designed to fully capture the dramatic views in every direction and create the ultimate in indoor/outdoor living. The living space encompasses a number of seating areas with French doors leading to a multitude of decks with a professional kitchen at the center. The state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen offers stunning views of the Atlantic through the living room, and of Drake’s Channel through the formal dining space and is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and a full complement of dinner and glassware. There is dining in the main house as well as on the substantial covered terrace. The main house also includes a loft with its own terrace for yet another tranquil spot for relaxing.

All the furnishings, appliances, windows, and doors were upgraded in 2019.  Amateras adheres to a policy that does not allow for children under the age of 12.

The main house has a high cathedral roof with 4 ceiling fans and indirect lighting. There is a modern, extremely well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster oven, and refrigerator/freezer with water and ice dispensed through the door.

The large center island has a beautiful polished granite top with stools beneath it. The flooring in all living areas is Mexican stone tile. Although “earth tones” are prevalent throughout the interior, bright floral patterns brighten up each room. A glass-top, stone-base dining room table seats 6 comfortably. An L-shaped sitting area just off of the kitchen is set up for easy conversation or to watch TV. A library of books, videos, games, and CDs are available for your enjoyment.
