Our favourite family beach spots in Tortola are listed below:

Brewers Bay

Brewer’s Bay sits on the North Side of Tortola and is a beautifully calm and quaint beach, idyllic for family beach trips – especially with super little ones. The waves are calm, the beach is clean and what’s really special is watching the pelican’s flying and diving into the sea – the kids will love it.
If you need a break from the BVI’s sunny rays, Nicole’s beach bar is a little beach bar on the west side of the beach providing shelter, ice cream, drinks for little ones and grown ups as well as a few selective hot meals.

Cane Garden Bay

One of the local’s favourite beaches on Tortola due to the chilled island life vibe Cane Garden Bay has to offer. With a large selection of beach bars, Paradise Club and the beautiful Indigo on the beach there is plenty to keep you and your family occupied. Enjoy the calm sea waves as you take in the views of Jost Van Dyke and the boats mooring up whilst enjoy one of the most breathtaking sunsets in the British Virgin Islands…with a cocktail in hand of course.

Josiah’s Bay

Josiah’s Bay is a surfer’s dream beach. As you arrive you walk through the BVI surf school shack onto a usually quiet beach where the kids can run around and watch the surfers catch some incredible waves.

The surf school allows you to hire surfboards and boogie boards for a fun few hours in the surf and offers lessons for beginners through to seasonal experts.

A new addition to the beach is a cute little bar shack selling light snacks and drinks to replenish you after a play in the waves.

Trunk Bay

One of the quietest beaches on Tortola is Trunk Bay situated on the North Shore surrounded by some of our most stunning vacation rentals.

Andrea Gonzalez

Born in Colombia and grew up in Venezuela, where she lived on the coast. She moved to the BVI in 2001 and spent the first 14 years setting up and running a successful diving business in Jost Van Dyke.
After that, Andrea worked in the yacht industry as a crew, deckhand, and lately as a yacht chef. Sail all over the Caribbean and the Bahamas, and mostly charter in The British Virgin Islands.
Andrea always has a cheeky smile on her face and guarantees all her guests will have fun on her charters. She is skilled as a Standup Paddleboard Instructor, PADI scuba, licensed powerboat captain, and chef and is now a full-time Villa concierge and property manager.
